After the ceremony

After the church or the town hall ceremony, it will be time to cut the wedding cake. This can be arranged in one of our dining rooms. The cutting of the wedding cake is a traditional moment that may be accompanied by a Champagne toast, with Kir Royal as an alternative. The wedding cake can also be served as a dessert after a lunch or dinner. Depending on what time your wedding takes place, it may be possible to invite an intimate group afterwards for to enjoy a relaxing lunch, or even a late lunch or early dinner, before attending the reception and the wedding party.

The Reception

The Tuinsalon, or garden room, is perfect for a reception or party for 80 to 125 people and is remarkable for its Louis XV design. If the weather is fine, the doors may be opened to create a lovely atmosphere. The Tuinsalon, or garden room, is perfect for a reception or party for 80 to 125 people. The room will be furnished with standing tables and occasional seating.

Our fabulous Damzaal has space for approximately 175 guests. This room is decorated in the classic Italian style and fantastic ambiance for your reception and party. The room will be furnished with standing tables and occasional seating. Naturally, all of this can be adjusted in accordance with your tastes.

The Party

For an amazing wedding reception, we can offer you the Damzaal, with room for 200 guests. If you have a live band in mind, please let us know in time how much space this band needs. The band can perform on stage, but we can also discuss other possibilities. We can provide suggestions in terms of music, room decorations and photography. During the party, we serve drinks à la carte.

When we take care of your wedding reception, we will let you have the bridal suite for free!

Book our romantic bridal suite to bask in the afterglow of the day of your wedding. Our bridal suite is entirely decorated in the style of the l’Auberge Damhotel Edam and offers a view of the beautiful Keizersgracht, and has a round bathtub. Your wedding night will be an unforgettable experience! To make your night even more complete, you can also order a very romantic Champagne package.

You can also book hotel rooms for your guests. We serve a delicious romantic breakfast in the morning.
